Falcon Fest: A Day of Fun, Community, and Fundraising

This past weekend, Farmington Elementary hosted its much-anticipated annual Falcon Fest, and it was a soaring success! Families, students, and staff came together for a day filled with fun activities, all in support of our PTO, which funds events and initiatives for our school throughout the year.

The festival grounds were alive with the sounds of laughter and excitement as students tried their luck at various carnival games, winning candy and other prizes. Freddy the Falcon, our beloved mascot, made special appearances, spreading school spirit and enthusiasm to everyone in attendance.

One of the highlights of the event was the Houston Middle School band, which engaged with the younger students. Band members provided hands-on demonstrations of various instruments, offering a fantastic opportunity for kids to explore their musical interests in a fun, interactive way.

A standout feature of the day was the teachers’ participation in some unforgettable fundraising activities. Students and parents alike lined up to see their favorite teachers get silly-stringed or even take a pie to the face! It was all in good fun, with the added benefit of raising funds for the PTO.

In addition to the games and performances, a silent auction drew significant interest. Families bid on themed baskets and unique experiences generously donated by our teachers and community members. The auction proceeds will go a long way in supporting programs and events throughout the school year.

Food trucks lined the event, offering a delicious array of treats for everyone to enjoy, while local businesses and crafters set up booths, showcasing their creations and adding a community feel to the day. Students enjoyed mingling with friends and teachers in a relaxed and festive atmosphere, making memories to last a lifetime.

Falcon Fest was a perfect example of our Farmington community coming together to support our school while celebrating the spirit and camaraderie that makes our school so special. We are grateful to all the volunteers, teachers, families, and local businesses who made this event a success. We can't wait to see what next year's Falcon Fest will bring!
