Ashley Brasfield, Principal
Mrs. Brasfield leads Farmington Elementary with dedication to fostering a collaborative and thriving school community. She oversees all grades and staff, PTO coordination, school fundraising, professional development, and building management. Mrs. Brasfield's commitment ensures a positive and enriching environment for students and educators alike.
Melinda Henson, Assistant Principal
Mrs. Henson manages grades 3-5 and specialists, as well as scheduling, textbook coordination, and field trips. She serves as the 504 administrator and safety coordinator, ensuring smooth operations for transportation and attendance. Mrs. Henson is dedicated to enhancing the upper-grade learning experience and school safety.
Jane Garitty, Assistant Principal
Longtime GMSD school psychologist Jane J. Garitty is now serving as assistant principal. Garitty at Farmington. Mrs. Garitty has served Germantown Municipal School District since 2018, beginning as a school psychology intern before moving into a full-time school psychologist role supporting students, staff, and families across special education services. Her work has centered on collaboration, problem solving, and data-driven decision making through extensive experience with IEP development, RTI processes, and behavior support. Mrs. Garitty holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Rhodes College, along with a master’s degree and Education Specialist degree in school psychology from the University of Memphis. Her background in communication, relationship building, and student advocacy provides a strong foundation for her leadership role at Farmington Elementary School.
